Based in Zurich, Switzerland, AIPPI is a politically neutral, non-profit organization with about 9,000 members from over 118 countries, including legal professionals, academics, and officials.Position detailsJob title: Senior Congress and Events Project ManagerWorkload: 100%Starting date: 1 June 2026 or upon mutual agreementReporting to: Secretary General, Executive DirectorCooperating with: Congress and Events internal and external stakeholders (e.g. CCC, DMC, PCOs, sponsors, exhibitors, suppliers, convention centres), AIPPI National Groups, AIPPI Committees, AIPPI Bureau, General Secretariat TeamYour main responsibilitiesWorking with Secretary General, Congress and Event team members and Executive Director to develop AIPPI strategic goals for new Congress and Events formats and strengthen current AIPPI’s Congress and Events portfolioManage full lifecycle of congress and eventsDevelop project plans, define scopes, assign internal and external tasksBudgeting and financial planning for Congress and eventsManage relationships with venues, local, national and international partnersWorking together with Secretary General, Executive Director on KPIs, and Bureau reportingEnsure integration of new technologies and best practices for the planning and organisation of Congress and EventsRepresent AIPPI in international event industry and in contacts with local and international partnersYour ProfileBachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in event/project management, preferably in association or corporate settings.Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar certifications are advantageousStrong experience with in-person and hybrid conferences around 2500-5000 participantsProven track record of organising international congresses and events (in-person and hybrid) including venue selection, sponsorship/exhibitor coordination, and delegate services.Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders (leadership, members, sponsors, partners)Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentEmpathic personality with commitment to diversity and inclusionSkilled in budget planning, contract negotiation, and vendor management.Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail, conceptional and problem-solving abilities.Culturally sensitive with experience working in international, multicultural settingsCreative thinker with an eye for memorable experiencesProficiency in event management software (e.g. Cvent, EventsAir, Eventbrite, or similar).Knowledge of CRM and membership systems (e.g. CRM Dynamics)Excellent MS 365 and project management tools (e.g. Asana).Excellent language skills in English (native or fully proficient); other language skills (German, French, Spanish, etc.) desirableEligible for Swiss work permitWilling and able to occasionally travel for organising and attending AIPPI eventsSalaryA competitive salary in line with the candidate’s qualifications and experienceApplicationPlease send your complete application documents (CV, cover letter, reference letters, etc.) until 30 June 2026.Please note that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.ContactPlease contact HR if you have specific questions.Link: AIPPI
