Responsibilities
Develop and own the internal engagement strategy for the country, aligning with enterprise, business unit, and site strategies, and support local external relations by partnering with CEA and functional colleagues in the country.
Serve as the Swiss lead for Internal Engagement, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging across all Swiss sites. Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Business Leaders to drive initiatives that strengthen employee connection to the company's mission and objectives.
Provide regional insights for global enterprise communications. Manage site communications for Bern, ensuring employees understand company strategy and fostering a values-based culture.
Participate in site leadership activities, assisting with planning, budgeting, and communications initiatives. Offer strategic counsel to Bern site leaders to align messaging and boost internal/external engagement, community relations, and media opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic and leadership communication plans. Enhance company reputation through local media relations, community engagement, and digital communications.
Customize and execute site communications for global change initiatives, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
Lead capability-building initiatives for site leaders to improve internal influence and engagement skills.
Act as the primary communications lead for key site initiatives such as office moves, consolidations, and change management.
Develop and execute site-specific engagement activities, including town halls, fireside chats, and feedback mechanisms.
Manage site-level crisis communications in partnership with Corporate Affairs, the global reputation COE, and relevant business teams.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or Business.
Experience in communications, preferably in Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environments.
Excellent writing, editing, and creative skills.
Ability to create compelling content, including written stories and videos, and manage approval and publishing processes.
Multilingual communication skills required; proficiency in English is mandatory, German is a plus.
Proven effectiveness in a highly matrixed organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
Creative vision and storytelling passion, with attention to detail and quality.
