Our Nestlé Research and Development Center in Konolfingen (NRDK), Switzerland, develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Milk, plant-based and Nutrition products. This includes various process and filling technologies for liquid, powder or sterile products. In addition, it also provides technical assistance and engineering support for major Capital Investment Projects (CAPEX) to our factories.

Position Summary
As a Science & Technology Intern, you will support research projects while collaborating with experienced scientists and lab technicians. You will help develop automated methods for sample preparation, plan and execute laboratory trials to investigate ingredient interactions, and utilize complex lab equipment to analyze data and draw conclusions. You will also learn consolidating and presenting findings internally.
A Day in the Life of a Science & Technology Intern
* Lead part of a research project, with support from experienced scientists and lab technicians
* Help develop automated methods for sample preparation: optimization of workflows and integration of new tools
* Plan and execute laboratory trials to understand ingredient interactions in complex formulations
* Use complex lab equipment, analyze raw data and draw conclusions
* Consolidate, report & present results internally to the company
* Perform literature search related to the project topics
What will make you successful
* Recently finished or currently completing a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Food Science, Food technology or related sciences
* Interest in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics
* Problem solving and analytical mindset
* Ability to collaborate with a team and work on tasks with autonomy and proactivity
* Good knowledge in programming and/or robotics is a plus
* Knowledge in dairy technology is an asset
* Fluent in English orally and verbally, knowledge of German is a plus
