We offer comprehensive, fully customized solutions for the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of aircraft engines, airframes and components, with technical support to over 500 customers worldwide. | Position: Process Engineer – Robotics (Machining) and related core and supporting processes. You will lead industrialization of processes and equipment in close collaboration with Shop Floor Operations. The role collaborates with Operations, Project Engineering, Tool and Equipment Engineering, Shop Engineering, Machine Maintenance, and external vendors.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-depth expertise in robotics in machining, scanning, 3D printing, tool design, CAD/CAM and other advanced technologies
* Develop, implement, and optimize repair processes while adhering to OEM, customer, internal guidelines, and current technical standards
* Systematically analyze production drawings and OEM procedures to ensure process compliance
* Lead industrialization projects and define/correct actionable steps; assist in industrialization of new repairs and development of existing repair processes
* Apply modern methods and tools (Kaizen, SPC, FPY, OEE) and other lean, safety, and quality practices to improve within the area of responsibility
* Support root cause analyses and coordinate engineering measures for fast problem resolution
* Collaborate with Operations, Repair Technology, Tool Technology, and Workshop Technology to ensure smooth workflows and sustainable improvements
* Define and certify equivalent alternative consumables and processes to sustain efficiency and quality
* Conduct coaching and training sessions on top-level programming and process standards
Your Profile / Qualifications
* Solid hands-on experience operating and programming ABB industrial robots, including CAD/CAM and Robotic Studio
* Proven expertise in programming 6-axis robotic systems and using offline simulation tools (e.g., ABB, FANUC) and CNC-controlled machinery
* Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in the MRO sector of aerospace
* Proactive, team-oriented with initiative; strong safety, quality, delivery, and cost awareness
* Experience in project management and applying lean/quality methodologies (Kaizen, FMEA, 5S)
* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in robotics and/or CNC programming
* Fluent in English (C1); German (B1) is an advantage
* Scientific/Technical degree MSc or BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
