Your profile:
Experience working on seagoing vessels as a Marine Engineer, Vessel Performance Manager, Naval Architect, or in a similar role
At least 2 years of professional experience in vessel performance measurement and familiarity with performance monitoring systems
Ability to work independently and in a result-oriented manner, as well as collaboratively within a multi-cultural team
Strong skills in task coordination and prioritization, coupled with solid analytical abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications
A working style marked by a quick grasp of new topics, commitment to fair play, and strong personal dedication
Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English
A high degree of quality awareness, reliability, and a strong desire to work in an international environment complete your profile
You are good at:
Monitor real-time fuel consumption and emissions from all onboard consumers to identify and address inefficiencies. Ensure efficient data collection and perform in-depth analysis to support the company’s decarbonization goals.
Prepare reports, statements, and relevant data for internal departments. Provide guidance on speed, load‑sharing, and utilization to help meet industry index targets at both vessel and fleet levels.
Develop and enhance vessel optimization tools used for monitoring and visualizing fleet performance and emissions (e.g., engine performance, hull performance, and emissions optimization tools).
Build comprehensive datasets on fleet performance, including average consumption, optimal speeds, high- and low‑performing vessels, trade‑specific vessel suitability, and emissions metrics.
Collaborate with the Fleet Performance Manager and/or Head of VPC to liaise with the Technical Department, driving energy efficiency initiatives such as timely hull cleaning and propeller polishing.
Stay current with environmental and decarbonization regulations and prepare training materials and presentations to support awareness and compliance across the company.
Maintain accurate records and provide necessary information to ensure compliance with emissions and carbon trading schemes (e.g., CII, EU ETS, AER, GHG studies).
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) together with the Fleet Performance Manager and Head of VPC, and report findings to senior management.
Support the development and implementation of an auditing scheme and contribute to onboard energy audits.
Drive innovation and promote new processes within the organization to continuously improve vessel performance and support environmental goals.
