GENERAL ROLE
The Visual Merchandising Manager of Geneva flagship store will guarantee the image of the Maison in the store and ensure that the VM is appealing and inspires emotion. He/she will support the development of sales. Reporting to the Store Manager, he/she will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager for Switzerland and Poland. The 865m² flagship store is currently undergoing renovations and will open at the end of 2026. In the meantime, the position will begin in the temporary 265m² flagship store.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Visual Merchandising Manager has a strategic and creative vision of the VM for the Geneva flagship store.
1. Coordinate the calendar of VM activities, implementation of VM animations, product rotations, and launches.
2. Supervise and carry out the implementation of collections in the store.
Guarantee the image of the Maison
1. Ensure the VM in store is always appealing and inspiring.
2. Ensure that the VM guidelines of our Maison are correctly implemented in our stores and that a consistent appearance is guaranteed.
3. Share best practices with the local and international VM community.
4. Make sure that new collections and new products are launched on time and that products are well promoted.
5. Collaborate with the communication team and Retail merchandising on selecting products for the windows.
Contribute to the commercial success
1. Collaborate closely with store Management to propose VM strategies aligned with business and product strategies to maximize sales.
2. Work in close collaboration with the local VM Manager and Retail Merchandising team to rotate stock, increase sell-through, and define priorities.
3. Participate in buying campaigns to provide input on the assortment needs for qualitative and commercially driven VM.
4. Proactively suggest improvements for zoning in the existing store.
Team Management and Development
1. Lead and inspire the store team to achieve an optimal level of presentation at all times.
2. Implement a local strategy aligned with the store's challenges and organization.
3. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of products, VM guidelines, and tools.
4. Contribute to the engagement of the Switzerland VM community.
5. Provide occasional support to other stores during events and seasonal reopenings.
6. Organize VM planning for daily store engagement and animation.
7. Find solutions to improve VM organization and tasks such as price display and daily maintenance.
8. Be responsible for maintaining and restocking the PLV inventory.
Promoting a Visual Merchandising Culture
1. Foster a VM culture within the store.
2. Report on VM activities and share best practices with the local VM Manager.
PROFILE
* Bachelor's or master's degree preferably with a focus on art, design, fashion, visual merchandising, or management.
* Strong aesthetic sensibility and creative sense with an eye for details.
* Understanding of business issues and a commercial mindset.
* At least 8 years of professional experience in a multi-store VM role with complex assortments.
* Excellent leadership skills and ability to collaborate and influence others.
* Decision-making abilities based on analytical thinking and creativity.
* Management skills to lead, motivate, and drive performance.
* Analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
* Ability to adapt corporate guidelines to local market needs.
* Problem-solving mindset and hands-on attitude.
* Strong service orientation and approachability.
* Good IT skills.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; French is a great asset.
