The Office of the Field CTO is a high-impact, forward-looking group within Global Presales focused on strategic engagement, thought leadership, and market influence, connecting Okta’s vision to identity challenges of complex organizations.What you’ll be doingStrategic Customer Engagement: Act as a technical executive sponsor for a portfolio of strategic accounts, with deep involvement in roadmap alignment and solution planningHelp customers align identity strategy to transformation initiatives like Zero Trust, hybrid cloud, workforce modernization, and digital trustDrive influence by shaping identity vision across IT, security, and business stakeholdersTechnical Leadership: Guide the design of modern identity architectures, integrations, and risk-based access control approachesTranslate product capabilities into clear, actionable technical strategies that fit customer maturity and architecture constraintsProvide hands-on architectural guidance and lead deep technical conversations on implementation trade-offs, scalability, and integrationPartner Ecosystem Engagement: Shape and execute the technical partner strategy with GSIs, regional delivery partners, and technology alliances to accelerate identity-led transformationServe as a strategic advisor to partner CTOs and senior architects, aligning with Okta’s platform vision and roadmapInfluence and co-develop joint solution offerings to expand Okta’s value across key verticalsChampion partner-led innovation by feeding strategic partner feedback into product, solution engineering, and enablement teamsField Enablement and Collaboration: Provide technical oversight on high-complexity deals and collaborate with sales leadership to address critical opportunitiesDrive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of global initiativesInnovate in tools and techniques to drive excellence and momentumMarket Influence: Represent Okta in analysts, press, customer briefings, executive meetings, and technical forums; share regional learnings to inform cross-functional strategyInnovation and Strategy: Identify repeatable solution patterns that scale across segments and regions; contribute as a technical voice in defining platform evolution; participate in ideation, beta programs, and roadmap conversationsWhat you’ll bring to the role15+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management roles, including Solutions Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, or related fieldsDeep expertise in identity, security, cloud computing, and digital transformationAbility to influence both technical and executive stakeholders across sales cycles and long-term transformation programsExcellent communication and presentation skills with experience contributing to technical eventsStrong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and enterprise customer needsAbility to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and manage cross-functional initiativesPassion for innovation, customer success, and advancing the field of identityPreferred QualificationsFormer Enterprise Architect, Identity Strategist, or Principal Security Architect or similar leadership roleBackground in implementing or scaling IAM, identity governance, or security platformsExperience with CIAM, DevSecOps, or AI-related access risk modelsFamiliarity with identity challenges in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)Experience working with or within Global 2000 EnterprisesPublic speaking or published work related to security architecture or identity strategyProficiency in one or more EMEA regional languages; understanding of EMEA regulatory frameworksWhat you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employeeAmazing BenefitsMaking Social ImpactDeveloping Talent and Fostering Connection + Community at OktaEqual Employment OpportunityOkta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
