For an innovative company based in Bern, we are looking for a motivated Team Leader IP (m/f/d) to join us immediately or by agreement. In this varied role, you will lead and manage a team of network engineers, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our global IP network infrastructure. You act as the main contact for your team and international customers, drive technical innovations, and coordinate projects with vendors. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, take on responsibility, and further develop your leadership and technical skills.
Your Responsibilities
* You are responsible for leading and managing the IP team. You act as the main contact person for your 5 network engineers and contribute to fostering a positive team culture.
* You take ownership of the technical direction and quality of your team's work. You ensure that processes and solutions meet requirements and are responsible for implementing technical innovations and improvements.
* You ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. This includes identifying and resolving issues in our global network (with over 100 nodes) as well as supporting our international customers (mobile network operators).
* You manage the life cycle of dedicated hardware, software, and customer connections. This involves planning and executing updates and upgrades to keep the IP infrastructure up to date. You are also responsible for capacity planning.
* You maintain relationships with system vendors and suppliers and lead collaboration and project implementation efforts.
* You plan and ensure an effective support organization within the IP team, including on-call services. This guarantees that requests from customers or internal departments are handled efficiently and that the IP infrastructure is delivered with high quality and reliability.
Your Ideal Profile
* You have proven leadership experience and the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop your team.
* You possess strong skills in work and project planning to ensure tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
* You have experience in the networking world or proven leadership experience in the IP/telecom domain.
* You approach tasks in a structured way and have a strong interest in creatively solving technical or organizational problems.
* You are dynamic, reliable, and proactive, and your passion for your work positively influences your team and colleagues.
* You feel comfortable in an international environment and can collaborate successfully with customers, colleagues, and experts from diverse cultures.
* You have excellent communication skills, both with technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
* It is an advantage if you have a higher education degree such as a diploma (HF), bachelor's or master's degree in IT, business administration, or project management.
* You have knowledge in one or more areas of IP infrastructure (network equipment in general, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) and are willing to deepen your expertise in these technologies.
