About Our Client
For our client, a globally recognised leader in the medical technology and healthcare sector, we are seeking a talented Innovation Engineer – Robotics (m/w/d). Your Responsibilities
* Translate functional requirements into technical robotic system designs, including use case specifications and component selection (actuators, manipulators, platforms)
* Develop, configure, and optimise embedded software, firmware, and control algorithms for motion control, path planning, and sensor integration
* Leverage ROS/ROS2 as a framework for navigation, autonomy, and system control
* Build and validate prototypes through iterative testing, debugging, and root‑cause analysis to ensure performance, safety, and reliability
* Expand system capabilities by integrating sensors, machine vision, PLCs, IoT, and AI technologies
* Ensure seamless interoperability with cloud systems, digital twins, and analytics platforms
* Drive continuous performance optimisation through iterative tuning of hardware, software, and control strategies
Your Profile
* BSc or MSc in Robotics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
* Solid grounding in robotics fundamentals: kinematics, dynamics, control algorithms and system architectures
* Practical experience with ROS/ROS2, SLAM, motion planning, and perception systems, including integration of sensors, cameras, and motor controllers
* Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Go within Linux environments; proficiency with Git and distributed systems
* Hands‑on experience with rapid prototyping and automation technologies
* Familiarity with simulation environments; experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim is a plus
* Knowledge of machine learning approaches for perception or decision‑making is an advantage
* Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with a proactive, curious mindset
* Fluent in English; German is a plus
