Location: Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), Germany
Primary Assignment: Family Health Clinic

• Kleber Army Health Clinic

Schedule Options: Monday–Friday, 0730–1630 OR 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts (0730–1830)

Make a Difference for Military Families Overseas
Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who thrives in dynamic clinical environments and values meaningful work? This opportunity allows you to directly support U.S. service members and their families by delivering high-quality primary and pediatric care at the largest U.S. military medical center outside the continental United States.
This is a float Nurse Practitioner position, ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, teamwork, and making an impact where support is most needed. While primarily assigned to the LRMC Family Health Clinic, you will provide coverage for Pediatrics and other regional clinics during staffing shortages—ensuring continuity of care across the military healthcare system.
What You'll Do
Clinical Care & Patient Services
1. Provide a full range of outcome-based Nurse Practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
2. Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage routine, acute, and chronic conditions across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
3. Perform general medical screenings, physical exams, immunizations, and health assessments.
4. Promote preventive care, wellness, and health maintenance through patient education and counseling.
5. Recognize and manage conditions requiring isolation and ensure strict adherence to universal precautions.
Collaboration, Education & Leadership
6. Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
7. Provide technical direction and education to staff, including evidence-based in-service training and lectures.
8. Attend staff meetings focused on case discussion, continuing education, quality improvement, and patient safety.
Operational & Readiness Support
9. Support readiness assessments and Deployment Related Health Assessments (DRHA).
10. Utilize MHS GENESIS for clinical documentation (recent experience preferred).
Float Assignment Expectations
11. Primary duty location is LRMC, with support to Pediatric Clinic as needed.
12. May be temporarily assigned to Kleber or Baumholder Army Health Clinics during staffing shortages.
13. Assignments within the commuting radius may range from 1–5 days per week for up to 6 months.
14. Float will receive a minimum of two weeks of notice prior to temporary reassignment.
Qualifications
Education
15. Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE)
Certification
16. Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the applicable specialty by:
17. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or
18. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or
19. Other recognized national certifying body
20. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required prior to start date and maintained throughout employment.
Experience
21. Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner within the past three years.
22. Recent experience treating pediatric patients required.
Licensure
23. Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license valid in any U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction.
24. License must permit independent clinical practice and not be subject to restrictions.
