ROLE
As Group Tax, Treasury & Insurance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and strategically steering four core areas:
1. Tax Strategy & Compliance
1. Develop, assess, and recommend international tax strategies that support the Group’s growth and profitability goals.
2. Design and challenge business tax models across jurisdictions, with a special focus on complex and emerging markets (notably in Africa).
3. Proactively manage and prepare for tax audits globally.
4. Lead and structure corporate reorganizations at both Swiss and international levels, ensuring full compliance while maximizing tax efficiency.
2. Treasury & Financial Risk Management
5. Ensure optimal liquidity across the Group at competitive cost.
6. Define and implement short- and long-term financing strategies in line with corporate plans and investment roadmaps.
7. Lead banking relationship management and negotiate credit facilities in Switzerland and abroad.
8. Design and implement hedging and financial risk mitigation strategies (including currency, interest rate, and credit risks).
9. Regularly assess financial exposures and maintain dynamic hedging policies in line with market evolutions.
3. Insurance
10. Recommend, negotiate, and manage Group-wide insurance programs to protect SICPA’s assets and operations from major risks.
11. Ensure continuous review of risk exposure and appropriate insurance coverage in a rapidly evolving technological and geopolitical context.
4. Investment, M&A & Pension Fund
12. Lead financial due diligence efforts for new ventures, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.
13. Evaluate and structure investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Group strategy and value creation objectives.
14. Oversee financial integration and performance monitoring of acquired entities.
15. Contribute to long-term asset management, including active participation in Group pension fund investment strategy and operations.
PROFILE
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities, international exposure, and the ability to lead across disciplines.
16. Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
17. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, including tax, treasury, M&A, and risk management.
18. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to engage and motivate cross-functional teams.
19. Demonstrated track record in managing complex international tax structures, particularly in emerging markets.
20. Solid expertise in treasury operations and financial risk mitigation.
21. M&A experience, including financial due diligence and integration of acquired entities.
22. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, especially with financial institutions and external advisors.
23. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
24. Fluent in English and French.
