Senior Translation Manager Position
As a Senior Translation Manager, you will oversee the translation and quality assurance services from official languages of the PCT into French. This role is responsible for managing daily activities of the section within the PCT Translation Division.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage staff of the Section, evaluate their work, and make informed decisions on English to French translation outcomes.
* Plan and organize distribution of translation work to global suppliers, administer requisitions, and ensure timely delivery.
* Design documentation for public tenders, promote and execute tender process, review bids, select successful bidders, and administer tests.
* Guide translators, revisers, and fellows, evaluate their performance, and promote optimal utilization of skills and experience.
Requirements:
* Advanced degree in technical or scientific field, translation, or modern languages.
* At least ten years of relevant experience in translation, revision, and terminology work.
* Experience in managing translation work, excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and French, and other PCT publication languages.
