You will be part of the Engineering organization within the Substation Automation Systems Operating Unit (OU) Europe. The Operating Unit delivers Hitachi Energy complete Grid Automation portfolio of products, systems and services in European market. Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity in our Lead Engineering organization to lead a team of experienced Lead Engineers and to be part of our international management team. Together with project managers our Lead Engineers are leading project teams that plan, configure, install, test, tune, and commission our systems at site. Your responsibilities
1. Act as team leader for lead engineers in Switzerland
2. Monitor team and business developments to meet evolving requirements
3. Support sales in finding solutions for customer projects and in evaluating costs
4. Monitor the workload of the team and balance with other teams
5. Translate Hitachi Energy's vision and functional line goals into actionable objectives for team members
6. Foster continuous learning and growth among team members
7. Work on continues improving the way of working within engineering
8. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, promoting safety awareness within the team
Your Background
9. University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical knowledge
10. 5+ years of experience managing teams, preferably in lead engineering roles will be desirable
11. 5+ years of experience in Substation Automation engineering
12. Experience in preparing project cost calculations
13. Strong communication skills in English, other languages appreciated
14. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting one-on-one sessions and handling difficult situations
