Teacher of Mathematics and Science
100% – 2-year contract – January 2026
Responsibilities
* Deliver the teaching and learning of Mathematics and lower secondary Science throughout the secondary school effectively.
* Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics and Science programmes.
* Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom.
* Identify SEN students and work collaboratively to ensure their needs are met.
* Ability to lead on projects and work independently.
* Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.
* Participate in professional development and contribute to regular staff training/meetings.
* Contribute to a programme of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
* Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
* Contribute to the development of a positive attitude between Mathematics and the wider community through cooperative relations, publications, competitions, etc.
Qualifications And Skills
* Subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent.
* Proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years’ experience, ideally in an international environment.
* Experience of teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; MYP and/or A Level experience required at minimum.
* Ability to teach lower secondary Science and/or IGCSE/IBDP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
* Excellent communication skills and a team player.
* Ability to share your passion for teaching.
* Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
* Ability to inspire mixed culture and ability classes by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
* Ability to support student needs in learning and pastoral matters.
* Clear criminal record.
