Responsibilities
* Identify and develop end-to-end condition monitoring use cases for on-board batteries (auxiliary and/or traction batteries).
* Support maintenance locations in understanding collected data.
* Develop data processing frameworks for online condition monitoring, including data logging, processing, and creating minimum viable products or dashboards.
* Match field results to identify relevant maintenance tasks based on condition data.
* Document findings and share insights across the company and with clients.
* Manage industrialization of findings and transfer processes between different fleets and generations.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in data-driven maintenance topics.
* Contribute battery knowledge to support the Stadler Group's production, warranty, service, and lifecycle cost estimation.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good understanding of batteries, including chemistries, state-of-health estimation, degradation mechanisms, and failure modes.
* Proven proficiency in Python.
* Fluent in German and/or English.
* Experience with applied data science, especially with unlabelled data from various sources.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, from technicians to project leaders.
Beneficial Skills
* Experience in battery monitoring using field data.
* Familiarity with code versioning and co-development practices.
* Experience deploying applications with CI/CD pipelines.
* Background in embedded software/hardware development.
* Skill in building informative dashboards.
* Experience in railway industry or maintenance of large, complex assets.
