ID Quantique (IDQ) as part of IONQ is a global leader in quantum‑safe communications and quantum detection systems. We provide solutions that protect governments, telecommunications infrastructures, and banking & financial institutions from the "harvest‑now, decrypt‑later" threat, delivering both terrestrial and space‑based quantum‑safe networks in live operation worldwide. Our Quantum Detection Systems push the limits of single‑photon detection, powering breakthroughs in quantum communication, sensing, computing, and ultra‑sensitive imaging in partnership with top researchers and tech innovators worldwide.

Location: Geneva or partially remote

Type: Full‑time

Department: Product Management

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Product Manager to discover, define, and deliver high‑value quantum‑safe cybersecurity solutions, including next‑generation quantum key distribution and post‑quantum cryptography software. In a vast and highly competitive cybersecurity market, your primary goal is to lead in‑depth market and customer analysis to identify the most critical Q‑Safe use cases and define the product(s) that will successfully address them.

You will own the product lifecycle from strategic conception through to tactical execution, working hands‑on with engineering, marketing, and other product managers. This role reports to the IDQ QSafe Product Line Management and is responsible for developing and executing the product strategy for your assigned domain, which may include our Quantum Key Management system platform or new, yet‑to‑be defined solutions.

We are looking for a collaborative leader who can learn our business context quickly, take ownership of strategic initiatives, and work hand in hand with the entire product management team to achieve our collective goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide product strategy, defining and championing the product vision and strategy for your specific Q‑Safe domain, ensuring alignment with the overall Product Line strategy set by management.
* Lead continuous product discovery, user research, and requirements gathering to identify, validate, and prioritize customer problems and ecosystem integration points.
* Monitor competitive landscape, guide differentiation strategy, and use market insights to drive pricing strategy. Develop and present data‑driven business cases for new product initiatives.
* Drive end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from concept and requirements gathering through development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
* Work hands‑on with Engineering, Product, and Security Architects to translate strategic goals into clear user stories, technical requirements, and scalable solutions.
* Collaborate with the Technology Partnerships Manager to ensure smooth interoperability with targeted partner ecosystems.

Commercial & Go‑to‑Market (GTM)

* Develop commercial GTM strategy, including product packaging and monetization. Define pricing models in close collaboration with the VP Sales of Quantum Safe.
* Serve as an internal and external evangelist for your product, contributing to product demonstrations, technical marketing, documentation, and sales enablement.
* Work with customer success teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and establish a tight feedback loop for continuous improvement.

Requirements

* Proven track record in full‑lifecycle product management, especially in developing data‑driven Business Cases and moving from concept to detailed Product and Service Definition.
* High learning agility and demonstrated ability to quickly master complex new business and technical contexts and execute effectively.
* 5‑8 years of product management experience. Experience in enterprise cybersecurity, cryptographic infrastructure, or key/certificate management is a plus.
* Proven "full‑stack" PM experience, demonstrating success in both high‑level strategy/discovery and in‑depth, hands‑on execution with agile teams.
* Experience translating enterprise security policy and governance requirements (e.g., data residency, access control, audit, compliance) into concrete product definitions and feature roadmaps.
* Broad expertise in (or ability to quickly learn) cryptography, from foundational models (symmetric/asymmetric encryption, key exchange) to the high‑level strategic implications of crypto‑agility, PQC migration, and QKD adoption.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* A collaborative team player and self‑starter who is organized, tech‑savvy, and eager to learn; thrives in a fast‑paced environment while demonstrating strong personal accountability and leadership.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. French is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus.
* Broad experience with the concepts and tools of the enterprise cybersecurity ecosystem, particularly in Data Security (e.g., data‑at‑rest/in‑transit encryption, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), key management) and Network Security (e.g., VPNs, TLS/IPsec, firewalls, Zero Trust models).
* Good understanding of how different security products integrate across a modern enterprise, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), or cloud‑native security tools within SaaS or critical infrastructure contexts.
* Familiarity with the business impact of major security standards and compliance frameworks (like NIST, FIPS, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and how they influence customer requirements and market adoption.

What We Offer

* A role at one of the fastest growth and most exciting Quantum companies in the world.
* A competitive compensation scheme, benefits package, and equity plan, all designed to reward excellence.
* Flexible work models that let you balance your life, your family, and your career.
* Ongoing training and development to keep your skills sharp and your growth on track.
* A career development plan within the IonQ group’s companies.
* A dynamic, close‑knit environment where you collaborate with a global team of experts.
* A performance‑driven culture built on trust, teamwork, and shared ambition.
