Position: Senior Savoury Flavourist with Taste Expertise
Location: Kemptthal, CH | Reporting to: Head of Science & Technology
Role Overview: As a Flavourist in our Science & Technology group, your main focus will be to innovate in flavour creation for culinary and protein categories, working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Core Responsibilities:
Build culinary and protein category research projects based on prioritization.
Evaluate internally developed or external materials for flavour potential.
Create flavours using new technologies to meet project requirements, including regulatory compliance, cost, and production needs.
Support regional and customer innovation efforts.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment following EHS policies.
Collaborate with regional flavourists and other teams.
Promote an inclusive environment, leveraging diverse styles, thinking, and approaches.
Success Profile:
7-10 years of experience as a Savoury Flavourist post-flavourist training.
Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field; experience in food applications lab or production.
Knowledge of Maillard chemistry and processed flavours.
Mastery in flavour creation, salt and umami taste, and flavour science.
Expert tasting skills and flavour creation capabilities.
Deep knowledge of raw materials, flavour ingredients, and global regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in analytical methodologies (G.C., HPLC, Mass Spec.).
