As an EHS Specialist (m/w/d), you will directly report to the EHS Director and join the EHS Fragrances Department in Vernier (Switzerland).
You will be part of a team of 4 EHS Specialists and support the EHS Director, promoting the EHS culture across the organization.
Responsibilities
Be the main contact for specific departments and act as back‑up for others.
Serve as the back‑up of the EHS Director during her absences.
Be customer‑oriented, seeking solutions with main partners when EHS issues are detected and consulting experts if necessary.
Organize regular site safety inspections with department/area owners; report findings and follow up on their correction and prevention.
Perform incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented.
Assist with risk assessments and provide solutions to minimize risks.
Assume the role of EHS Coordinator in the Crisis Management organisation.
Follow up on all audit findings, evaluating the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
Help organize site EHS committee meetings and follow up on all actions agreed in them.
Maintain liaison with authorities related to Environment, Health and Safety; report concerns to the EHS Director.
Conduct EHS orientation training for new employees and contractors.
Facilitate toolbox meetings and deliver other EHS trainings.
Assist the development of EHS procedures and track their implementation.
Qualifications
University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS, or another related field.
Swiss Diploma “Ingénieur sécurité MSST” – a must.
Chargé de sécurité incendie – a plus.
At least 3 years of working experience in a chemical or manufacturing industry.
5+ years of experience in EHS specialization.
Fluent in French and knowledge of English.
