Supply Chain Clerk – 6772
Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a Supply Chain Clerk for a 12 months contract role based in the Valais area, Switzerland.
In this role you are responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule. Perform all duties to ensure the departmental schedules are accurate and communicated to all relevant departments to drive short term execution of plans. Ensure all schedules are created respecting existing labor and asset capacities and achievable based on planned material availabilities. Drive timely resolution of all scheduling conflicts with relevant stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
* Own the day-to-day operational scheduling (8-week horizon) and resources balancing.
* Coordinate with logistics the delivery of API and raw materials from warehouse to production line according to the manufacturing requirement dates.
* Ensure accurate consumptions of assigned materials lots by manufacturing to Process Orders
* Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics the posting of raw materials consumptions on-time in all systems.
* Re-ordering of materials from warehouse, in case of damage or urgent needs.
* Report hours of labour and machine used to Process Orders in ERP system.
* Ensure short-term changes are reflected in the schedule.
* Generate relevant KPI and operational measures to support identification of trends or root causing of sub-optimal performance
* materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOM’s,
* increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting
* Monitor incoming purchase orders to ensure on time delivery by supplier
* Take action if delivery of purchase order is not made on time or in full by supplier
* Create, prioritize and manage the progress of QC raw materials release to ensure on time release to meet the needs of production.
* Allocate specific material lots to production orders under FEFO principle and ensure customer & quality requirements are also respected for the projects
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
* BS in supply chain management
* Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support production optimization recommendations.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
* Proven capability on balancing multiple tasks and resolving planning challenges through effective prioritization and proactive problem-solving.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, to support reporting and analysis.
* Competent using production scheduling systems and SAP PP & EWM/WM for material planning and inventory management.
* Preferred knowledge of bioscience products, their Bills of Materials (BOMs), operations, routings and material flow requirements.
* Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments and compliance requirements.
* Ability to utilize Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports.
