About The Role
Chainlink Labs is at the forefront of enabling the verifiable web. As a CCIP Solutions Engineer on our Solutions Architecture team, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying secure and efficient smart contract solutions that leverage or enhance Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). You will work directly on the on-chain components that allow our users and partners to seamlessly transfer tokens and messages across diverse blockchain networks, unlocking new financial primitives and use cases. This role requires a deep understanding of smart contract development, token mechanics, and the ability to independently drive on-chain projects from conception to deployment.
Your Impact
Your primary focus will be on the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust, secure, and gas-efficient smart contracts that facilitate cross-chain interactions. This includes:
* Designing and implementing CCIP-integrated smart contracts, including token pool contracts and other on-chain logic for partner use cases, with a strong understanding of token handling and security.
* Developing reusable on-chain patterns, templates, libraries, and deployment practices for CCIP use cases.
* Managing full lifecycle of on-chain projects from requirements to deployment and support.
* Prioritizing security and gas efficiency, conducting testing, and defining upgrade strategies.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance to partners.
* Producing technical documentation for deployed smart contracts and on-chain systems.
Requirements
* Proven experience in independently designing, building, testing, and deploying smart contracts on EVM/SVM-based blockchains.
* Deep understanding of token standards, token interactions, and financial primitives like token pools.
* Proficiency in Solidity and/or Rust, with knowledge of security and gas optimization.
* Strong knowledge of blockchain concepts, transaction lifecycle, and smart contract environments.
* Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and work autonomously on technical tasks.
* Understanding of smart contract security best practices and development tools.
* Experience with upgrade patterns, off-chain scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with distributed systems principles.
Preferred Requirements
* Experience with Chainlink’s CCIP and other cross-chain protocols.
* Background in DeFi protocols and on-chain activity monitoring.
* Advanced gas optimization skills and open-source contributions.
All roles with Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based, with a preference for overlapping some hours with EST.
