Overview
Senior R&D Electronics Engineer (F/M) 100% – CSEM, Neuchâtel
Responsibilities
* Architect Embedded Systems: define system block diagrams and part selections for sensor-driven, MCU-based platforms; develop innovative power-management and wireless-communication solutions
* PCB Design & Simulation
* Testing & Validation: create laboratory setups and automate tests
* Firmware & Software: write C firmware for MCU validation (e.g., STM32CubeMX); automate test setups and data collection with Python
* Collaboration & Documentation: peer reviews of schematics, layouts, and library components; document architectures, design decisions, calculations, and test reports daily
* Customer & Sustainability Focus: help define customer requirements and contribute to proposals; drive green electronics initiatives
Knowledge & Skills
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent); at least 3 years hardware design experience in industrial/product development
* Proficient in PCB design using Altium Designer
* Expert with SPICE-based simulation tools (LTspice, TINA)
* C programming on ARM-based MCUs; Python scripting for test automation or data gathering
* Hands-on lab instrumentation experience
* Plus: FPGA design and HDL, Linux-embedded development, 3D CAD and rapid prototyping
* Fluent in English and French
