Description
Mechanical Designer Valves (m/f/d) 80-100%
The “Mechanical Designer Valves” is responsible for sustaining engineering and management of projects for improving existing products. Additionally, he/she supports the development of new products. As a member of a small development team he/she reports to the Head of Development Valves.
Key Deliverables
* Completion of daily tasks in sustaining engineering and quality issues
* Management of small projects for the adaption and improvement of existing products
* Support in new product development:
o Development and design of new and innovative products using internal tools (CAD, FEM, CFD) and external experts.
o Elaboration of innovative product and design concepts
o Evaluation of product performance according to specifications in collaboration with our testing lab
* Correct application of internal rules and processes
* Technically correct drawings according to internal and official standards
* Contribution to cost and quality optimization
Qualifications
* Higher Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* > 3 years of experience as mechanical designer
* Deep knowledge in production processes for metal and plastic parts
* Good experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks)
* Experience with tools like FMEA (risk analysis), specification sheets, Microsoft software
* Fluent in German and English
* Good collaboration in teams
