MISSION
As an R&D Engineer and Project Leader in the Application Engineering department, you will develop new custom products in the domain of electro-mechanical drive systems and manage the corresponding development projects.
TASKS
Product development tasks:
Design proposals
Performing calculations
Creation of parts and assembly drawings
Overseeing prototyping and manufacturing activities
Analysis of test results
Optimization of product design from a technical, manufacturing, and logistics point of view
Implementation of modification requests (both within and outside the framework of customer projects)
Project management tasks:
Manage the interface with Sales and Customers through all project phases, from start to finish
Actively participate in and drive technical discussions with the customer to clarify technical requirements
Monitor project status regarding timeline and costs; ensure project goals are met in terms of quality, cost, timeline, and deliverables
Create and continuously update project documentation; handle internal reporting and communication to Management
Coordinate activities of all involved internal departments (Industrial Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Production, Logistics, Planning)
Additional support tasks:
Support the Application Engineering department and Sales by providing feedback to technical inquiries and attending customer meetings (including outside development projects)
Contribute to the improvement of the Quality Management System
PROFILE
The minimum requirements are:
Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, etc.)
Solid multidisciplinary technical background (mechanics, thermal management, electromagnetism, electronics)
At least 3 years of product development experience (experience in electromechanical or mechatronics device development is a plus; experience with Siemens NX CAD system is a plus)
At least 2 years of project management experience, with direct contact with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, etc.) and coordination of internal tasks across multiple departments
Proficiency in Italian and English (C1 level); knowledge of French and German is a plus
Strong team spirit, openness, and collaborative attitude
Methodical and creative problem-solving approach
Excellent communication skills
