Your responsibility
- Detailed underwriting analysis of Energy accounts – review of risk engineering exposures, terms and conditions, pricing, capacity deployment
- Determination of exposures, normal loss expectancies, maximum possible loss scenario
- Evaluation and control of accumulations, including Natural Catastrophe Exposures
- Negotiation of terms and conditions with brokers and clients with a clear focus on long term sustainability and profitability
- Assuring compliance with Helvetia Group directives
- Development of an extensive knowledge of the Energy Client and Broker network
- Attendance at national and international client and broker meetings as well as site inspections and industry events where appropriate
- Contribute to a motivated, agile, and determined team
- Close cooperation with our claims department for large and complex claims
Your qualification
- University degree, preferably in engineering, science-related or business-related discipline. A further commercial qualification (e.g. MBA) could be beneficial
- Professional experience in Energy underwriting or in the underlying Energy industry
- Strong analytical, negotiation and sales skills
- Strong business acumen and good understanding of the underlying Energy insurance markets
- Tackle challenges with passion and demonstrate high expectations of own performance
- Develop stable partnerships across departmental boundaries and cooperate to meet common goals
- Positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
- Proficiency in English, German knowledge is highly preferred
