Hydromea is a fast-growing Swiss deep-tech company developing cutting‑edge underwater wireless communication and portable robotics. Our mission is to enable fully remote inspection and monitoring of submerged assets at scale—safely, sustainably, and at a fraction of today’s costs. Our systems are already deployed in offshore energy, hydropower and critical infrastructure, and we are expanding rapidly into new industrial and environmental markets.
We are hiring a Global Sales Manager to grow the sales of its professional underwater inspection robot portfolio and related technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who will have a chance to build a sales engine from the ground up, help shape go‑to‑market strategy, and close strategic deals with large industrial customers and channel partners.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and managing the sales pipeline— from opportunity identification to deal negotiation and closing. You will develop and manage a global distribution and partner network, drive market entry in new geographies and segments, and represent Hydromea at industry events, conferences and associations as the commercial face of the company. Working closely with the founders and product/engineering teams, you will translate customer needs into product roadmaps and scalable commercial offerings. Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
* Own revenue growth across target markets (offshore and onshore energy, hydropower, maritime, industrial infrastructure) and deliver ambitious annual sales targets.
* Help develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for existing and new products, including segmentation, value propositions, pricing and channel strategy.
* Build, manage and scale a high‑quality global network of asset owners, service and channel partners.
* Identify, pursue and close complex enterprise deals, from first contact through proposal, commercial negotiation and contract signature.
* Lead key account management with major operators, asset owners and service companies; ensure long‑term relationships and recurring business.
* Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and marketing activities.
* Represent Hydromea at international trade shows, conferences and industry bodies; deliver compelling presentations and demos to technical and executive audiences.
* Drive CRM discipline, reporting and forecasting suitable for a scaling B2B hardware/technology company.
Qualifications
* 5–10 years of international B2B sales experience in industrial inspection, offshore/onshore energy, subsea, maritime and/or related industrial technology sectors.
* Experience with inspection drones/robots on land, air or underwater; broader robotics/industrial automation background is also relevant.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets and closing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals.
* Experience designing and executing go‑to‑market strategies, including channel and partnership models.
* Strong understanding of the asset inspection and integrity management value chain; familiarity with NDT technologies and key industry players in Europe, USA or both.
* Comfortable selling technically sophisticated solutions and able to engage credibly with engineering, operations and procurement stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional European languages are an asset.
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
* Entrepreneurial mindset: hands‑on, data‑driven, adaptable and energized by building processes, not just running them.
* Positive, resilient and solutions‑oriented character, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small, high‑performing team.
What We Offer
* A rare opportunity to take a pivotal commercial role in a scaling underwater robotics company, directly shape its global growth trajectory and help build a commercial team.
* Close collaboration with an experienced founding team and exposure to leading industrial and energy players worldwide.
* Competitive compensation package with performance‑based incentives and the potential for equity participation.
* Flexible, international work environment in Switzerland with the ability to make visible impact quickly.
