Founded in 1962, GIHE is a private Swiss institution offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees in hospitality, luxury and event management to an international student body across three campuses in Glion and Bulle, Switzerland, and London, UK.You share our values: Development, Distinctiveness, Joint commitment, Openness and Sense of service.Responsibilities:Design and implement initiatives that promote personal and professional growthMentor students in launching projects that enhance engagement with GIHE experiencesOrganize and lead workshops and training sessions where applicableSupervise major large scale student events, including for example welcome, induction and orientation events, Netconference and graduation dinnersIdentify and promote external competitions to support extracurricular developmentWork closely with GIHE departments on initiatives related to enhancing student engagementCollaborate with the GIHE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee to ensure representation and inclusivityPartner with external organizations, alumni, and industry professionals to enhance student development opportunitiesOversee the SGA and its committees, ensuring alignment with institutional objectivesRecruit, train and mentor the SGA and its committeesSupervise activities organized by the SGA and its committeesDevelop and implement strategies to amplify student voice in institutional decision-makingWork closely with Head of Health and Wellbeing on wellbeing campaigns and initiativesManage student development services communication channels promoting departmental activities and engagement opportunities (social media, website, digital signage, emailing)Adopt and implement effective communication strategies and initiatives which enhance student participation and engagement in GIHE activities and experiencesMonitor and evaluate engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional goalsEnsure compliance with institutional policies and best practicesAssist in the management of budgets for the SGA and respective student committeesRecruit, develop and manage the Student Development Services InternProfile and experiences:A bachelor's degree in education, student development, counselling, or a related field is requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva and website builders (Wix)Comfortable with the use of technology and student management / learning systemsPrior experience in student engagement, communication or events managementFirst aid qualifiedA valid driving license is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (any additional language is a plus)Strong ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workloadPassion for student engagement and developmentAbility to address student challenges proactively and effectivelyAbility to adjust to a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends where requiredWillingness to travel across multiple campuses or external venues as neededOther information:Type of contract: undefined period of time contractActivity rate: 100%Location: Bulle campus (Rue de l'Ondine 20, 1630 Bulle)Start date:jid4491257afr jit0728afr
