Global Cost Management Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager to oversee global engineering capital projects, focusing on cost management and reporting throughout project stages. Main Responsibilities:
* Develop interfaces with project teams, stakeholders, and advisors for cost management.
* Work with the Estimating Team on development processes.
* Ensure cost control processes conform to procedures, supporting the Project Control Manager.
* Implement core Cost Manager responsibilities, supporting Budget Owners.
* Collaborate with Planning and Engineering teams to identify deviations early.
* Assist in developing project cost estimates and transitioning to control budgets.
* Manage project interfaces, responsibilities, and protocols.
* Provide accurate, timely cost reports to project leadership and stakeholders.
* Ensure contractors and partners follow proper methodologies and tools.
* Establish project-level processes supporting cost management.
* Maintain comprehensive cost reporting, including budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
* Support resource management, forecasting overruns or savings.
* Deliver robust estimates and reports of EAC.
* Support change, risk, and opportunity management related to costs.
* Control contingency drawdowns according to guidelines.
* Assist with project close-out activities, including asset activation and benchmarking.
* Provide oversight and support to other cost engineers as needed.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
* Proficient in English; Business German (B2) advantageous.
* 10+ years of experience as a Cost Manager in large pharmaceutical projects, preferably in EPCM and as a client representative.
* Ability to interpret and communicate cost data effectively.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP, SAP Ariba, and Oracle Primavera Unifier knowledge desirable.
* Experience in a global environment, with pharmaceutical projects involving EPC contracts.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex data sets.
* Adaptability to shifting priorities and fast-paced environments.
