IP Counsel
Job Description
* This role involves managing our IP portfolio for assigned business areas and providing strategic advice on IP matters to support business objectives.
* You will be responsible for overseeing prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses, as well as drafting some European patent applications in-house while coordinating the work of external partners for other applications.
* Monitoring competitor patents and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for the company is also a key aspect of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or similar fields, and a broadly based interest in science and technology are required.
* Prior experience as a European Patent Attorney, preferably in industry, is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical and writing skills, finely honed interpersonal skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
* Collaboration in a diverse, international team, fostering a culture of open communication and mutual respect to achieve common goals is also important.
* Fluency in English and German is necessary.
