Job Description: Full-Time Nanny in Zollikon, Switzerland On behalf of our Swiss partner, we are seeking a full-time nanny for a family residing in Zollikon, a residential area near Zürich, approximately 10 minutes from the lake. The family will provide a private apartment within their house, with an additional entrance. The location is well-connected by public transportation, so driving is not mandatory.
The family often spends time at their vacation homes in Spain (Mallorca) and Austria and travels occasionally. The family speaks German as their primary language, with both parents fluent in English, as well as French and Spanish. The children are trilingual in German, English, and Spanish, so speaking Spanish is a plus.
The family is friendly, active, and has happy children. Their toddler can now play independently for extended periods, allowing the nanny some free time with the baby. The family has two guinea pigs, and a housekeeper comes twice a week to clean the house and care for the guinea pig cages.
The proposed work schedule is 40 hours per week, with flexibility needed, especially during travel periods. The family values someone who is uncomplicated, flexible, helpful, and interested in traveling with them from time to time. They will provide a single room and cover travel expenses.
Responsibilities mainly focus on the children and kitchen tasks, including preparing bottles and simple meals, cleaning children's rooms and toys, handling laundry, and assisting in the kitchen with errands.
The ideal candidate is happy, friendly, loving, warm-hearted, active, and positive. They value family-oriented individuals with good education, manners, trustworthiness, and an easy-going nature. Understanding family values is important.
The family hopes to build a bond with the nanny, engaging in activities together and considering her as a team member or family. She should also be capable of caring for the children independently at times. Swimming skills are a plus.
Smoking is not permitted, as the house is smoke-free and there are young children.
