Role Description
This role is well suited for analytically minded individuals with an interest in actuarial topics and life insurance, who are looking to apply quantitative thinking in a commercial, client‑facing environment. Pursuing a Swiss actuarial qualification is welcomed and supported, but not a requirement for the role. As a Junior Life Reinsurance Broker, you will report to the Head of Life, Accident & Health and work closely with senior brokers and actuarial specialists, supporting the structuring, placement and ongoing management of life reinsurance solutions.
In This Role
Support senior brokers in the analysis and placement of life reinsurance treaties
Work with actuarial and portfolio data to support pricing, structuring and renewal discussions
Assist in preparing client presentations, reports and market submissions
Support the renewal process and ongoing treaty administration
Contribute to analytical projects, modelling work and internal research initiatives
Continuously build technical knowledge of life insurance and reinsurance concepts
Work Experience
Entry‑level role suitable for graduates or early‑career professionals
Prior experience through internships or graduate roles in insurance, reinsurance, actuarial, finance or consulting is an advantage
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
A university degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, information technology or a related quantitative field
Interest in actuarial topics and quantitative analysis; pursuing a Swiss actuarial qualification is an option
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Coding experience (e.g. VBA, Python, R or similar)
A structured, reliable and collaborative working style
Fluent German and English (required); French is an advantage
