Our client is an asset management division of an international private bank in Zurich. We are looking for a German‑speaking legal specialist (m, f, d) for the role of Legal Counsel Fund Business.
Legal Counsel Fund Business
Aufgaben
* Focus on all aspects of launching and maintaining private market funds, fund‑of‑funds or managed accounts as well as special projects
* Conduct legal research and support fund structuring, review of legal documentation and investor negotiation
* Draft and review offering documents, shareholder communications, advisory agreements, and fund governance materials
* Work directly with investment professionals and with colleagues in Legal, Finance, Tax and Compliance to facilitate onboarding and operation of private funds
* Cooperate with tax and compliance teams to ensure compliance with applicable tax and securities laws
* Ensure regulatory alignment across fund products
* Remain up to date on relevant law developments in asset management regulation
* Manage relationships with external law firms domiciled in Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman Islands, etc.
* Collaborate in the further development of legal and operational infrastructure
* Adopt ad‑hoc projects
Qualifikation
* Master’s degree in Law or Business Administration with an LL.M.
* Experience in launching or managing private market funds at an asset manager or consulting firm, e.g., a Big Four
* Familiarity and experience with legal matters relevant to private funds
* Analytical, result‑oriented personality with passion for fund business
* Ability to thoughtfully balance legal and commercial aspects of an issue
* Ability to coordinate or collaborate with colleagues across multiple functions, including senior and executive leadership
* Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Strong problem‑spotting skills and understanding of complexity
* Innovative mindset to bring new ideas and improve processes
* Proficiency with MS Office
* Fluency in English and German
