Our product is an open-source, Ethereum-based app that empowers users to chat, transact, and access decentralized applications on the web. We're also developing foundational infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem, including Nimbus ETH clients, the Keycard hardware wallet, and the Waku messaging protocol.

The Role
We're expanding our mobile development team to build a fully decentralized, censorship-resistant, and privacy-focused group chat platform using the Ethereum blockchain. This enables global individuals and groups to communicate and transact freely without restrictions.
We're seeking a Clojure UI Engineer to collaborate with our Design team in transforming UI specifications into visually appealing, smooth, performant, and near-pixel-perfect interactive interfaces. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working end-to-end, have an eye for design and detail, enjoy collaborating with designers and developers, and transform reusable UI patterns into maintainable components.
The successful candidate will fine-tune UI implementations to exceptional quality standards, emphasizing code cleanliness, reusability, performance, and UI layout accuracy. They will care deeply about creating a top-notch user experience for Status users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement new features from start to finish.
* Closely collaborate with Design around designs and implementation.
* Design captivating UIs and propose improvements to our codebase.
* Sense-check and prioritize work from our backlog.
You Ideally Will Have:
* Experience working with ClojureScript and React Native.
* An eye for detail; point us to completed implementation work.
* Passion and experience in blockchain technology.
* A strong alignment to our principles: Experience working remotely.
* Experience working for an open-source organization.
