The role has close interfaces with EHS, Quality & CI, Supply Chain, Technical Management, Finance, and HR. The main focus is on the continuous improvement of production processes in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction to ensure complete, on-time, and specification-compliant delivery (DIFOTIS).Your Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for operational control of production and maintenance, especially managing personnel and machine capacities in close collaboration with the Supply ChainEnsuring timely, cost-optimized, and quality-compliant productionPlanning and optimization of production processes and capacitiesLeading and developing employees in accordance with Amcor's values and leadership principlesEmpowering employees to reach their full potential, including goal setting, performance reviews, recognition, coaching, training, and developmentResponsibility for compliance with occupational safety and environmental standardsResponsibility for the budgeting process and achievement of financial targetsAnalyzing KPIs and deriving measures to increase efficiencyInitiating and implementing lean management and continuous improvement (CI) measuresMaintaining assets and preparing investment projects to support new technologies, respond to market needs, and enhance cost competitivenessYour Profile:Degree in industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualificationMinimum of 5 years of industrial experience in progressive roles and a strong business acumenThorough understanding of cost and profitability drivers, with a proven track record in identifying and managing KPIs in leadership rolesSolid knowledge in key areas of flexible packaging production and technology (lamination, printing, coating)Experience with continuous improvement tools and processes, lean manufacturing, and a record of practical implementationExperience in team leadership, change management, and transformation projectsFluent in German and English, both written and spokenStrong ability to lead change at all levels of the organizationResults-driven and goal-oriented work style, with strong analytical thinkingAbility to communicate process improvements and convince others of their benefitsExcellent communication skills across all organizational levels in a multinational environmentStrong customer orientation (both internal and external)Proactive, pragmatic, and a team player with leadership skillsAbout AmcorAmcor is the global leader in developing and producing responsible consumer packaging and dispensing solutions across a variety of materials for nutrition, health, beauty and wellness categories.
