You have a higher education with a technical and/or commercial focus? You have profound sales experience with strong negotiation skills? You are highly experienced in working closely together with customers from different countries, you understand their requirements and you are able to handle any complaints or issues? You have self-motivation and persistence as well as a service-mindset? Then we have the right opportunity for you!

As an Area Sales Manager you ensure active market penetration for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) and Live Tank Circuit Breaker (LTB) Service within the assigned sales area for Hitachi Energy and end-customers. You are leading sales teams in Local Service Units and you are responsible for the training and knowledge sharing to our local sales staff. You are working closely together with our Product Service Center, our Local Service Units as well as World-Class Front End Sales. With your market‑presence and customer understanding you sell and develop our versatile service portfolio and ensure profitable growth and high customer satisfaction.

How you'll make an impact

Pro‑active sales, acquisition and marketing activities in assigned sales area for Standardized and Non‑Standardized service offerings, includes definition of pricing for sales area

Prepare offers in close collaboration with customer and internal partners

Develop and understand customer requirements and actively support customer decisions, provide customer support, consulting services and actively receive customer feedback.

Actively solve customer requests, complaints or issues competent in a timely manner

Develop and look after customer relationships (internal and external), sales and service channels

Provide yearly market analysis, competitor analysis, customer developments and regional challenges

Closely monitor customer budgets and targets with actuals and actively close gaps

Your background

Higher education with technical and/or commercial focus (University, FH, TS or similar)

Profound experience in sales, acquisitions and negotiations

Several years of work experience, preferably in a similar position

Very good knowledge with SAP, MS Office

Drive and persistence combined with strong skills in motivation others

Fluent in English, other languages (e.g. German) are a plus

Willingness to travel up to 50%
