YOUR ROLE
As an Engineering Manager in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex capital projects, technology transfers, and process improvements in highly regulated environments. You will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, compliance with GMP standards, and alignment with business goals across manufacturing, automation, and facility engineering initiatives.
Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams across design, commissioning, qualification, and validation phases.
Oversee the execution of capital investment projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Act as the technical point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment between engineering solutions and business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes, utilities, and cleanroom environments.
Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and IT teams to support operational excellence.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and accountability.
Your Skills And Experience
8+ years of experience in engineering roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects in GMP-regulated environments.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, cleanroom design, HVAC, utilities, and automation systems.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11).
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
Fluent in English (written and spoken); French or German is a plus.
