Manage product configuration, engineering changes, and regulatory compliance across advanced aerospace systems while ensuring traceability and operational excellence.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain product configuration baselines for aircraft systems, subsystems, and componentsManage Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Engineering Change Requests (ECR) from approval through implementationControl engineering drawings, specifications, technical data packages, and product documentation releasesMaintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), parts lists, and product structure hierarchiesEnsure traceability between requirements, design data, test records, and as-built configurationsLead Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and evaluate proposed changes regarding technical impact, cost, schedules, certification, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate change implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance teamsManage engineering deviations, approvals, and track the effectiveness of implemented changesEnsure configuration management processes comply with aviation regulations and airworthiness requirementsSupport certification activities with regulatory authorities including FAA, EASA, and related compliance documentationMaintain conformity records supporting continued airworthiness and assist with internal and external auditsSupport and manage Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and integration with ERP systems for manufacturing and supply chain processesGenerate configuration reports, metrics, and dashboards for program managementCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, flight test, certification, program management, and suppliers to ensure alignment across product lifecyclesSupport manufacturing activities through effective management of As-Designed and As-Built configurationsRequired Technical & Professional ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical fieldProven experience managing product configurations for aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, or aerospace systemsMinimum of 3 years of configuration management experience within the aerospace or aviation industry preferredHands-on experience with Engineering Change processes and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)Experience supporting aviation certification programs such as FAA and EASA is considered a strong advantageStrong understanding of configuration management principles, processes, and best practicesKnowledge of engineering drawing standards including ASME Y14.5 and ISO standardsProficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and ERP systems integration for BOM managementWorking knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, avionics, and propulsion systemsFamiliarity with requirements management and traceability toolsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyGood English language skills (written and spoken); German is desirableEligibility to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU citizenship required)
