Our engineering teams rely on stable, secure, and highly automated development and delivery processes. To strengthen our DevSecOps capabilities, we are looking for a GitLab Platform Engineer with solid hands‑on experience in GitLab, CI/CD, and cloud-native tooling. You will work closely with experienced architects and DevOps engineers and contribute to a stable, secure, and well‑automated development environment used by multiple product teams.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline templates that product teams adopt
* Automate compliance and security checks to reduce manual toil
* Develop and maintain GitLab platform components alongside senior engineers
* Write Terraform to provision and evolve platform infrastructure
* Improve GitLab Runner performance, reliability, and cost
* Contribute to internal DevSecOps standards and engineering practices
* Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and security teams to shape platform capabilities
* Grow into ownership of selected platform components over time
Qualifications
* 2‑5 years of professional experience in DevOps or platform engineering
* Practical experience with GitLab administration and GitLab CI/CD
* Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Experience working with containers (Docker/OCI)
* Practical experience implementing DevSecOps practices
* Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
* AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; further AWS certifications are advantageous
* Fluent English; German skills are an advantage
* You work in a structured and reliable way, and enjoy improving shared platforms used by many teams
