In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the Global Real Estate Strategy, transaction services, and related metrics/reporting for the company’s real estate portfolio of leased and owned properties. This position reports to the Global Real Estate Director and collaborates with other SMEs across the company on real estate portfolio optimization, transaction execution, and implementation of real estate objectives.
This role is based on a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days per week. You must live near one of our offices in Watford or London (UK), Galway (IRL), or Tolochenaz (Switzerland).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing site selection, renewals, extensions, dispositions, purchases, and developing reports and proposals on real estate decisions for management review.
2. Leading real estate analysis, broker selection, site selection, coordinating with legal and risk management, lease negotiations, and property acquisitions/dispositions.
3. Monitoring critical dates on leased facilities and initiating project plans for transactions.
4. Developing or reviewing proposals for management review.
5. Coordinating vacating and shutdown of facilities in line with contractual obligations.
6. Collaborating with internal teams such as Construction, Engineering, IT, Space Planning, Facility Management, Security, EHS, and Risk Management.
7. Supervising strategic partners, peers, and junior staff, including guiding, coaching, and training, and hiring outside experts as needed.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
* At least 7 years of relevant corporate or commercial real estate experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Experience managing real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
* Expertise in leasing terms, real estate law, and legal implications.
* Strong understanding of real estate market conditions, trends, and industry practices.
* Experience overseeing service providers’ work activities.
