Description
The Manager, Meetings & Events will partner with internal clients and drive the AD experience through creative development of a variety of AD’s largest and most impactful Meetings & Events. This position will be responsible for creating effective, memorable meetings and events throughout all phases of the event lifecycle.
The AD Meetings & Events Team delivers value-added programs for our members and affiliates through consistent, cohesive experiences. This individual must have the ability to think outside the box, with high style and standards. They will drive the development and execution of the events, ensuring that the events run seamlessly on time, on budget and on brand, leaving a lasting, positive impact for all involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Experience developing and managing all aspects of large-scale events; Spring Network Meetings, North American Meetings, Member Conferences.
2. Effectively collaborates with Divisional Leadership and cross-functional teams to understand objectives, audience, and desired outcomes with a positive, professional, service-oriented attitude.
3. Manage all phases of the event lifecycle including sourcing, contracting, registration, logistics, project management, onsite implementation, and financials.
4. Work in partnership with Senior Manager, Venue Sourcing to source, select and present options that are in line with AD standards.
5. Assess and make recommendations that enhance the overall attendee experience through presentation style, venues, networking opportunities, and more.
6. Think strategically to build events that ensure each experience is unique and stands out in our industry.
7. Develop, manage, and implement production schedules and staff plans for each meeting and event, including security walkthroughs, transportation plans, creative & printed materials, etc.
8. Responsible for generating event timelines, meeting schedules, and helping manage clients through the project planning and approval process.
9. Create and manage custom websites for events using Cvent’s software.
10. Ensure quality control for all conference deliverables, including proofreading and design approval, and maintain brand standards across all divisional events.
11. Prepare reports, including post-event summaries and ROI.
12. Oversee event setup, registration, and on-site management, recruiting assistance from other associates as necessary.
13. Anticipate and mitigate potential risks related to events.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* 4-7 years of relevant meeting planning experience.
* Proficiency in Cvent software strongly preferred.
* Experience negotiating and reviewing contracts preferred.
* Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Proficient in managing budgets and expenses.
* Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation preferred but not required.
Additional Comments:
* AD's standard business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
* Travel required: approximately 50%, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
