Overview
Join us, as a junior Process Data Scientist in Drug Substance Manufacturing unit in Basel. You will focus on the core technical aspects of Multivariate Data Analysis: developing, validating, and maintaining robust models that contribute to our quality assurance.
Responsibilities
* Design and build MVDA models for Drug Substance manufacturing processes.
* Responsible for the end-to-end technical creation of the model structure.
* Apply rigorous data modeling techniques.
* Ensuring that raw process data is correctly pre-processed to prevent false positive/false negative results.
* Responsible for maintaining the lifecycle of these models, ensuring they remain accurate over time as process baselines evolve.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
* Ideally a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemometrics, Statistics, or Biotechnology. Alternatively a Bachelor or Master’s degree combined with relevant work experience
* Min. 2 years experience in statistics
* First professional/industry experiences
* Min. B2/C1 level in English and German
Nice to Haves
* Familiarity with Open-DCP or similar modeling frameworks (e.g., SIMCA).
* Knowledge of the R programming language for statistical computing.
* Experience with Aveva PI System Explorer (OSIsoft) for data retrieval.
