Overview
The Senior Auditor, Corporate Audit at Cargill executes complex internal audit programs for high priority risks aligned with Cargill's strategies, operational objectives and compliance requirements. This role performs complex project-level risk assessments, defines and executes audit test procedures, formalizes and tracks audited issues, and supports audit reporting. The position provides 2-4 years of experience in the Corporate Audit department, with the intent to rotate out of Corporate Audit back into a business or functional position at Cargill. The role is open to other Cargill office locations in the EMEA or APAC regions.
Responsibilities
* Audits: Perform end-to-end audit processes and procedures across a variety of risk domains within the organization; participate in audit engagement planning and prioritizing activities.
* Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, communicate and prioritize relevant risks in context of Cargill’s broader risk environment.
* Compliance Review: Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal processes and provide recommendations for improving efficiency and mitigating risks.
* Investigations: Conduct investigations of alleged financial mismanagement, loss of assets or other irregularities; prepare complex audit-related documentation and reports to maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay aligned with Corporate Audit strategy and objectives to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in audit processes.
* Report Development: Support the preparation of clear, concise and well-documented audit reports outlining issues, risks and recommendations; communicate audit results to management and partners with actionable insights.
* Issue Resolution: Lead issue identification, perform root cause analysis, provide recommendations for resolution, monitor management action plans, and test to validate closure.
* Consultation: Respond to questions from audit teams and business leaders; collaborate in a cross-functional audit team to coordinate activities and leverage audit tools and data analytics.
* Stakeholder Partnership: Work with management and staff to acquire information, support audit activities and provide advisory services regarding internal controls.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience; typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
* Proven experience in commodity risk management processes (e.g., position reporting, trading P&L, forex exposure reporting).
* Fluent in Mandarin and English.
* Intent to rotate back into business or function after 2-4 years in Corporate Audit.
* Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time, including periodic trips spanning 2 full working weeks.
