As the senior‑most accounting expert for our Swiss operations, you report directly to the CFO and establish a robust financial reporting environment that meets the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and own the accounting landscape for all Swiss legal entities.
Ensure high‑quality, timely reporting under Swiss GAAP FER and/or IFRS, including complex consolidations.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including intercompany eliminations.
Establish standardized processes, policies, and internal controls across the organization.
Interpret and apply accounting standards to new business activities and transactions.
Ensure full adherence to Swiss statutory requirements.
Manage annual audits, prepare audit documentation, and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Provide technical guidance on revenue recognition, leases, capitalization, and group reporting topics.
Lead and develop a growing team of 10+ accounting professionals.
Build a culture rooted in high standards, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
Strengthen and scale the internal control system in alignment with audit‑ and PCAOB‑level expectations.
Drive process automation, system optimization, and data‑quality improvements.
Collaborate with IT and the CFO to enhance ERP functionality and financial data structures.
Deliver precise, decision‑ready financial reporting to senior leadership and translate accounting outcomes into actionable insights.
Support board reporting, special projects, and analytical deep dives as the business expands.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a complex or multi‑entity environment.
Deep expertise in Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS, Swiss OR, audit methodology, and internal controls.
Strong command of ERP systems and data‑driven financial processes.
Fluency in German and strong proficiency in English.
