Electrical Engineer for Power Systems Development This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of electrical power systems for next-generation accelerator projects. As an Electrical Engineer in this position, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of accelerator technology. The primary responsibilities include designing and modelling high-voltage power converters, developing analytical and numerical models to evaluate converter performance, and refining digital control strategies to improve reliability. Additionally, you will integrate converter models into a broader system-level optimization framework to reduce costs and enhance overall system performance. Your work will involve collaborating closely with specialists across various domains to ensure cohesive and efficient system design. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering or power electronics, with experience in design and modelling of power electronic components and systems. We are seeking an experienced professional with a Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering or a related field. You should have demonstrated experience in design and modelling of power electronics converters topologies and proven expertise with power semiconductors technologies and thermal/electrical simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink. Initial experience with Python and numerical optimization is also desirable.
