Foodlicious is our daily business
From the Taverne Roche, a successful gastronomy enterprise has grown over 30 years, operating in communal catering. Tavero AG, a 100% subsidiary of F. Hoffmann-La Roche, employs around 350 staff from over 41 nations at locations in Basel and Kaiseraugst.
We offer a variety of dining experiences, from staff restaurants and fine dining with high-quality cuisine to international delicacies, coffee specialties prepared by our baristas, and the highest lounges in Switzerland—perfect after-work spots with panoramic city views. Our offerings also include Grab'n'Go options, sushi, burgers, and Roche's first-ever club.
Additionally, we provide catering for meetings and events with up to 1,500 guests, including the public gastronomy outlets Schöpfli im Park and Chez Jeannot at the Tinguely Museum.
Responsibilities
* Rotating shifts across various themed restaurants
* Timely preparation and service of all menu components
* Respectful handling of ingredients
* Experience in front cooking
* Preparation according to recipes, tasting, and continuous improvement
* Adherence to hygiene standards (TQM / HACCP)
* Economic operation to meet company goals
* Proper storage and daily inventory checks of goods in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas
* Order management and inventory documentation
Profile
* Completed culinary apprenticeship (EFZ)
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience (excluding training)
* Organized with a strong sense of responsibility
* Assertive and responsible
* Self-reliant work ethic
* Team player and reliable
* Availability Monday to Friday between 6:00 and 18:00
* Knowledge of Swiss food legislation
* Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
* Proficient in computer programs (MS Office)
