Supply Chain Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist
on a contract of 6/8 months, to be based in Switzerland.
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Data Analyst / Reporting Specialist to support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and maintain a robust Power BI reporting infrastructure. This role plays a key part in bridging the gap between business operations and IT, with a strong focus on project-based (WBS-driven) reporting, data pipeline management, and ensuring continuity of reporting during team transitions.
Main responsibilities:
S&OP Reporting & Analytics:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports supporting Sales & Operations Planning processes.
* Track and analyze plan vs. actuals/targets across multiple dimensions and KPIs.
* Ensure reporting reflects business-specific nuances and aligns with financial planning cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation:
* Serve as a knowledge bridge between Program Management, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
* Understand and document existing processes, digest technical and business logic.
* Work closely with IT and stakeholders to manage reporting enhancements, updates, and change requests.
Data Engineering & IT Liaison:
* Coordinate with internal and external IT teams to ensure business requirements are met through effective technical solutions.
* Translate business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
* Update legacy documentation to reflect current report ownership, logic, and development workflows.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies between business-facing and IT-generated reports.
Project Management & System Enhancement:
* Participate in global projects to implement or enhance systems and processes across Procurement and Supply Chain.
* Monitor and track assigned tasks, ensuring timely delivery aligned with short- to long-term goals.
* Conduct data validation and testing before promoting solutions to production environments.
* Drive adoption and efficiency of new tools and processes across stakeholder groups.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
* Strong business and financial acumen with excellent data analytical skills.
* Proficient in Power BI, with experience in building interactive dashboards and data models.
* Understanding of system databases, data elements, and application software solutions.
* Ability to work with large datasets and familiarity with Big Data, Cognitive Computing, and Machine Learning concepts is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of translating technical language into business-friendly terms.
