For our client, a commodity trading group, we are looking for a:
Group Financial Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities
* Preparing the Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
* Analytical review of the Group balance sheet and P&L accounts
* Keeping up with technical accounting principles to ensure all reporting requirements are met and implemented effectively
* Participate in the Group’s monthly and annual closing processes
* Preparing and participating in annual audits
* Review standalone financial statements (IFRS/Swiss CO/others).
* Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of the Group’s processes and procedures
* Collaborating with other team members in Geneva and internationally as needed.
Profile
* Degree in accounting, control, or finance
* Mandatory accounting certification (Swiss CPA, ACCA, DEC or equivalent)
* Previous experience in accounting or auditing within a Big 4 firm for the commodity trading, energy or big corporations
* Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards
* Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods
* Leadership skills, ability to work both in a team and independently, and excellent communication skills
* Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
