MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To design and deliver engaging DJ and music experiences as part of the extracurricular programme, while contributing to the vibrant creative and entertainment life of the school. This is a part-time and on-call role scheduled over two days per week, after 16:00.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and deliver dynamic and interactive DJ classes for students aged 14 to 18.
Create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
Lead the classroom and deliver well-structured and engaging lessons.
Introduce students to DJ techniques, music mixing, and digital production tools.
Support student progression through hands‑on practice and performance opportunities (e.g. school events).
Maintain DJ equipment and ensure a safe and professional setup.
Other tasks as required by the management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualification Required
University degree or equivalent professional experience.
Basic training or certification related to DJing, audio engineering, or music.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's degree in radio broadcasting, music production, or related field.
Recognised qualification in DJing, sound engineering, or music technology.
Experience Required
Some teaching or training experience.
Practical experience as a DJ or in live performance.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in an international school setting.
Experience in the music or entertainment industry.
Prior Skills and Knowledge
Fluent English (spoken and written).
Good knowledge of DJ equipment and audio software.
Basic ICT literacy (audio tools, streaming software, standard applications).
Additional Assets
Fluent French.
Knowledge of music theory or production tools.

You communicate clearly and confidently, and you are able to inspire and engage young people through music and creativity. You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and professionalism. You are organized, able to prioritise tasks, and remain calm and solution‑oriented under pressure. You bring energy, creativity, and a passion for sharing music and performance with students.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.
You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form.
Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
