As Product Conformity & Quality Manager, you take ownership of product safety, quality, and compliance across our entire portfolio — from mechanical and textile products to electronic and connected solutions. You support products from initial concept to market launch and ensure they meet all relevant requirements worldwide.
Within the Product Team, ideas turn into products — and this role ensures they are not only functional, but also globally compliant and market-ready. You combine technical expertise with structured execution and clear decision-making — from standards and testing strategies to certifications and approvals.
You work closely with Product Development, Purchasing, and Regulatory Compliance and act as the central point of contact for all topics related to product safety and conformity.
Responsibilities
* You take overall responsibility for product safety, quality, and compliance across our full product portfolio.
* You conduct risk analyses and safety assessments, support product development, and ensure compliance with all legal and technical requirements.
* You identify relevant standards and international regulations (e.g., EN, IEC, ISO, UL) and derive testing strategies and technical requirements.
* You manage external testing laboratories, oversee product testing and certification processes, and evaluate test reports with clear recommendations.
* You make informed decisions on design adjustments, re-tests, and international market approvals.
* You are responsible for safety requirements of electronic products and connected devices, especially regarding battery and charging integration.
* You manage product-related certifications (e.g., OEKO-TEX, MADE IN GREEN), ensure their validity, and coordinate with certification bodies and suppliers.
* You create and maintain conformity documentation (e.g., Declarations of Conformity, Technical Files) and approve product and packaging labeling.
* You act as the main contact for internal teams (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Product) and external partners on technical compliance topics.
Qualifications
* You have a technical background (e.g., engineering, electrical engineering, quality management, or similar).
* You bring several years of experience in product safety, standards, testing, or certification.
* You have strong knowledge of CE conformity and international standards.
* You have experience working with testing laboratories and certification processes.
* You work in a structured, analytical way and take ownership of technical decisions.
* You have excellent English skills.
