Project Manager Turbo MTB
SUMMARY
As a Project Manager for Turbo Mountain Bikes, you will lead global cross-functional Teams to deliver innovative bicycle projects on schedule and to high-quality standards. You will coordinate internal and external resources, enabling a clear decision-making process, development plan adherence, and the successful execution of product development from concept through production. The ideal candidate for this role brings a strong background in Product Development management combined with a passion for cycling and outdoor lifestyles.
What you will Do
* Lead multiple global Product Development Teams through the entire Vehicle Development process to bring new Turbo Mountain Bikes to market.
* Develop and drive project schedules, conduct phase-gate reviews and dynamically manage resources needs with Engineering and cross-functional Team leaders.
* Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify top development blockers, specific technical issues and required design trade-offs. Ensure related stakeholders alignment by facilitating decision-making discussions in line with the overall business objectives.
* Drive action plans aimed at mitigating risks and resolving identified blockers throughout the product development.
* Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management as top priorities shift.
* Manage communication of progress/status with stakeholders and leadership in various locations and time zones
* Ensure consistent processes and accountability across teams, maintaining high standards of project execution.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, tools, and workflows in product development.
* Coach, mentor, and empower team members to foster accountability, proactive problem-solving, and shared project ownership.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
* Bachelor's Degree in Product Development and/or Mechanical Engineering; advanced Project Management certifications are a plus (PMP or similar).
* 4-6 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary product development projects; preferably in innovative, consumer goods-oriented industries.
* Track record taking consumer electronics, vehicles and/or other similar hardware devices from concept to launch through a cadenced product development process.
* Experience managing design releases, validation plans, build execution.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and product lifecycle management.
* Experience coordinating global teams across diverse cultures and time zones.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
* Ability to travel internationally as needed.
* Passion for mountain biking is highly desirable.
