Project Manager Turbo MTB
SUMMARY
As a Project Manager for Turbo Mountain Bikes, you will lead global cross-functional Teams to deliver innovative bicycle projects on schedule and to high-quality standards. You will coordinate internal and external resources, enabling a clear decision-making process, development plan adherence, and the successful execution of product development from concept through production. The ideal candidate for this role brings a strong background in Product Development management combined with a passion for cycling and outdoor lifestyles.
What you will Do
1. Lead multiple global Product Development Teams through the entire Vehicle Development process to bring new Turbo Mountain Bikes to market.
2. Develop and drive project schedules, conduct phase-gate reviews and dynamically manage resources needs with Engineering and cross-functional Team leaders.
3. Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify top development blockers, specific technical issues and required design trade-offs. Ensure related stakeholders alignment by facilitating decision-making discussions in line with the overall business objectives.
4. Drive action plans aimed at mitigating risks and resolving identified blockers throughout the product development.
5. Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management as top priorities shift.
6. Manage communication of progress/status with stakeholders and leadership in various locations and time zones
7. Ensure consistent processes and accountability across teams, maintaining high standards of project execution.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, tools, and workflows in product development.
9. Coach, mentor, and empower team members to foster accountability, proactive problem-solving, and shared project ownership.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
10. Bachelor’s Degree in Product Development and/or Mechanical Engineering; advanced Project Management certifications are a plus (PMP or similar).
11. 4-6 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary product development projects; preferably in innovative, consumer goods-oriented industries.
12. Track record taking consumer electronics, vehicles and/or other similar hardware devices from concept to launch through a cadenced product development process.
13. Experience managing design releases, validation plans, build execution.
14. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and product lifecycle management.
15. Experience coordinating global teams across diverse cultures and time zones.
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
17. Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
18. Ability to travel internationally as needed.
19. Passion for mountain biking is highly desirable.
