About the job
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our After Sales Services Team to strengthen our After Sales team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial equipment, travel regularly, and represent our company directly at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance, building strong client relationships, and showcasing our technical excellence and commitment to service.
Our Alfa Laval site in Allschwil, Switzerland is one of the world leaders in the design and manufacture of cryogenic pumps for the liquefied gas industry.
What you’ll do
1. Advise and assist customers on all enquiries relating to our products in collaboration with our technical support teams.
2. Develop sales initiatives and customer relations while ensuring support and customer satisfaction.
3. Prepare sales proposals relating to the service business, mainly spare parts.
4. Develop spare parts sales and service sales activities by generating and negotiating offers with customers.
5. Support a sales area covering several countries.
6. Establish strong relationships with our customers
7. Ensure sales levels are in line with the budgets set by management, while maintaining the necessary profit margins.
8. Contribute to the company's technological and competitive intelligence.
9. Travel to customer sites for approximately 30% of your time, on average.
10. Promote the group's values and safety.
What You Bring
11. You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering
12. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales
13. A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
14. A sociable personality with a customer-oriented, commercial approach
15. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
16. Solid understanding of industrial maintenance processes
17. Willingness to travel and engage directly with industrial clients on-site
18. A critical thinker who thrives working independently in a dynamic environment
